About
Professor Glen Kwon holds the Jens T. Carstensen Chair Professorship in Pharmaceutical Sciences and is a Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1986 and his PhD in Pharmaceutics in 1991, both from the University of Utah. Following his doctoral studies, he completed postdoctoral training in Bioengineering at Tokyo Women's Medical College in 1993. Professor Kwon leads the Kwon Research Group, which is a collaborative team of chemists and biologists, including postdoctoral fellows, undergraduates, and both US and international students. The group is dedicated to groundbreaking pharmaceutical research, emphasizing a collaborative spirit and global competence as essential to advancing science. Located within a top research university, the lab benefits from access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and fosters numerous opportunities for networking and collaboration with the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, other leading R1 universities, and organizations worldwide.
