Dr. Eunyoung Cho is an Associate Professor and Director of Research in the Department of Dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She also holds an appointment as an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Brown School of Public Health. Her academic background includes a BS and MS in Food Science and Nutrition from Seoul National University, and a ScD in Nutrition and Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health. She was a Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Nutrition at Harvard. After serving Harvard Medical School for 12 years as a faculty member, she joined Brown University in 2014. Her primary research interest is evaluating the role of diet and nutrition in the development of chronic diseases using epidemiologic approaches. She has led several projects on diet and chronic diseases, including age-related macular degeneration, various cancers, and dermatological disorders such as skin cancer, alopecia areata, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and rosacea. Dr. Cho has been funded by prominent organizations including the US NIH, American Institute for Cancer Research, Harvard University, Kidney Cancer Association, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She has served as a grant reviewer for multiple agencies and foundations, and received the SUN Pharma-Society for Investigative Dermatology Mid-Career Investigator Award in 2021.
