Jordan Boyd-Graber is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, affiliated with UMIACS. He holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University, obtained in 2010, and a B.S. from the California Institute of Technology in 2004. His research areas include artificial intelligence and robotics, information retrieval and geographic information systems (GIS), machine learning and data science, and natural language processing. His interests focus on machine learning, computational linguistics, and topic modeling. He advises several Ph.D. students and has been involved in research projects related to automated topic modeling evaluations and natural language processing applications.
