He serves as a Principal Investigator in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Zhou earned a B.S. from Peking University, where he studied viral capsule protein of Hepatitis B. He completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard University under Dr. Erin O’Shea, focusing on systems biology and transcriptional regulation. Following his doctoral studies, he undertook postdoctoral training with Dr. Ruslan Medzhitov in the Department of Immunobiology at Yale University School of Medicine, investigating mechanisms of tissue homeostasis and inflammation. His research interests include deciphering molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate tissue homeostasis and inflammation, and understanding how dysregulation of these processes leads to inflammatory disorders.
