Steven P. Reiss is a Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at Brown University. His broad area of expertise is software engineering, with a specialization in making programming easier, more efficient, and safer, as well as enhancing programmer productivity. His work involves the development of new tools and user interfaces for software development. Over the years, he has developed a number of integrated development environments, software visualizations, and programming tools, along with methodologies for fault localization, dynamic tracing, code search, performance analysis, and automatic bug repair. Although retired from teaching, he continues to conduct research and work on projects such as Code Bubbles and the Internet of Things (IoT). He is also available for consulting and delivering talks on topics including practical automatic program repair, programming environments and tools, and user interfaces for the Internet of Things. Additionally, he is actively developing new features for Code Bubbles and working on a Code Bubbles plugin (LIMBA) that integrates with ollama and various large language models (LLMs).
