Matthew Martin is an Associate Research and Clinical Associate Professor of Behavioral Health in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University and serves as the Associate Director of the Safety Net Advancement Center. His research interests focus on learning health systems, translational behavioral medicine, and implementation research. Dr. Martin teaches courses related to healthcare quality improvement, substance use disorders, and integrated behavioral healthcare. He holds graduate degrees in psychology and medical family therapy, along with a CSSBB certificate from ASQ. His training includes pre-doctoral work at Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency and postdoctoral fellowship in behavioral science at the University of Chicago. Prior to his academic appointment at ASU, Dr. Martin worked for eight years as a behavioral health clinician and graduate medical educator. He also holds a research appointment with Mayo Clinic Arizona. His past funding sources include PCORI, HRSA, SAMHSA, AHCCCS, the ASU Foundation, and NIH.
