About

Colleen Clemency Cordes, Ph.D., serves as the Assistant Vice Provost for Career-Track Faculty at Arizona State University, where she leads initiatives to enhance the development, support, and advancement of career-track faculty across the university. She also functions as a Senior Advisor to the Dean in the College of Health Solutions, contributing to strategic planning, operational efficiency, and the development of scalable systems to increase the college’s impact. A licensed psychologist, Dr. Cordes has extensive experience in integrated primary care, having practiced in settings such as Banner Good Samaritan Hospital, the VA Healthcare System, and HonorHealth’s NOAH Clinics. Her specialized training includes Primary Care Behavioral Health at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and biofeedback and clinical hypnosis through Harvard Medical School-affiliated programs. Her scholarship focuses on primary care behavioral health and workforce development, including the application of AI-based tools to communication training for health professionals. She has chaired over 130 doctoral projects, contributed to federally funded training grants, and taught extensively in ASU’s integrated behavioral health programs. Dr. Cordes earned both her M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Arizona State University and remains committed to advancing innovative, learner-centered training and workforce development across health professions.
