Jennifer Hodgson is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Behavioral and Community Health at the University of Maryland's School of Public Health. She oversees the online Master of Public Health program with a focus on Behavioral and Community Health and teaches at the undergraduate level. She has served the School of Public Health since 2010, engaging in roles that include overseeing both undergraduate and graduate programs, teaching students, and advising future public health professionals. Dr. Hodgson earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Frostburg State University, with a focus on Higher Education Leadership, and holds both a B.S. and an MPH in Community Health from the University of Maryland. Her professional experience includes work as a policy analyst contractor for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and for a contract research organization addressing patient issues related to access to vaccinations. She has been recognized with several awards, including the Universities at Shady Grove Outstanding Academic Program Leadership Award in 2023, the Department of Behavioral and Community Health 3.5 Club for Teaching Excellence Award in 2017, the SPH Gloria Friedgen School Spirit Award in 2016-2017, and the UMD Outstanding Academic Advisor Award in 2011.
