Jakub Svoboda, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Hematology-Oncology) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests focus on improving outcomes in patients with lymphomas through the use of novel agents and immune-based therapies. He has been involved in clinical trials utilizing chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells, including a first-in-human trial using armored CAR T cells that secrete interleukin 18 to enhance their activity and expansion.
