Emily Clair McClung, MD, FACOG, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist affiliated with the Stanford Medicine Cancer Center. She serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Stanford Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. McClung graduated from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford Medicine. She then pursued a sub-specialty Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center and the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Prior to her current role, Dr. McClung was an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona Banner University Medical Center. Her research actively contributes to gynecologic cancer, focusing on prevention of surgical site infections, gene expression prediction of lymph node metastasis in endometrial cancer, and treatment resistance in ovarian cancer. She has authored peer-reviewed articles and a textbook chapter on vaginal cancer, and has made invited presentations at professional meetings. Dr. McClung is dedicated to improving patient access to state-of-the-art care through clinical trials and is passionate about increasing awareness of gynecologic cancer among medical trainees.
