Vijay Golla is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Public Health-San Antonio Campus at the School of Public Health, Texas A&M University. His research interests include Occupational Exposure Assessment, Total Worker Health, Agricultural Health and Safety, and Hazardous Material Management. He holds an MBBS (MD) from Andhra Medical College/King George Hospital, a Master of Public Health from Western Kentucky University, and a PhD from the University of Iowa. Dr. Golla's professional focus is on occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health, occupational epidemiology, and environmental toxicology. He has received several awards recognizing his contributions, including the 2024 Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Iowa College of Public Health, the Delta Omega Award from the same institution, and the Bill Patton Environmental Service Award from the Kentucky Public Health Association. His certifications include HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) and Environmental Public Health Tracking Certification. Dr. Golla is actively involved in professional memberships such as APHA and AIHA, and his work emphasizes improving worker health and safety through environmental and occupational health research and practice.
