Tasha Beretvas is a professor in the Quantitative Methods program in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. She joined the university's faculty in 2000 and has served as the Quantitative Methods program chair and the College of Education's associate dean for Research and Graduate Studies. Currently, she holds the position of Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. Beretvas is involved in various college and university committees, including serving on UT's Faculty Council and co-chairing the Employment Issues subcommittee of UT's Gender Equity Council. She is also a member of the board of directors for the Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk and a faculty associate of UT's Population Research Center. Her teaching includes undergraduate and graduate statistics courses, and she has received several teaching awards. Her research focuses on statistical models, particularly multilevel model extensions and meta-analysis models for educational, behavioral, social, and medical science data. Beretvas holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and psychology from Duke University and earned her master's and doctoral degrees in Educational Psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle.
