Ron Gangnon is a Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research interests include spatial and spatio-temporal epidemiology, high-dimensional variable selection with applications to spatial cluster detection, small area estimation including ranking and clustering, age-period-cohort modeling, modeling complex chemical mixtures, and epidemiologic applications of multi-state models. He has active collaborations in cancer, infectious disease, environmental epidemiology, asthma and allergic diseases, and geriatrics. Additionally, he is an Affiliate Faculty member in the Department of Statistics, as well as in the College of Letters and Science at UW–Madison.
