Karl Broman is a Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research focuses on statistical problems in genetics and genomics, particularly methods for detecting and identifying genes contributing to variation in complex traits in experimental organisms. He is affiliated as an Affiliate Faculty member in the Department of Statistics, the College of Letters and Science, and the Computer, Data & Information Sciences at UW–Madison.
