Orsolya Balogh, DVM, PhD, DACT, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Virginia Tech. Her research interests include canine uterine inertia, the effects of leptin, IGF1, and obesity on canine reproductive function and fertility, long-acting GnRH agonists in dogs, and the application of 2D and 3D ultrasonography in small animal reproduction. She earned her DVM and PhD from Szent István University in Budapest, Hungary, and is board certified by the American College of Theriogenologists. Her professional experience includes her current role since 2019, where she has been an Associate Professor, and prior positions such as a senior clinician and researcher at the University of Zurich's Clinic of Reproductive Medicine, as well as internships and residencies in veterinary medicine and theriogenology. She is actively involved in professional memberships, including the American College of Theriogenologists and the Society for Theriogenology, contributing to the field of veterinary reproductive medicine.
