Oladele Ogunseitan, PhD, serves as the University of California Presidential Chair and Professor of Population Health and Disease Prevention at the University of California, Irvine Program in Public Health. He is a renowned expert in the field of global health and one of the field’s preeminent researchers on antimicrobial resistance and stewardship. His research interests include global health and development, toxic environmental pollution, microbial diversity, ecology, and health. Dr. Ogunseitan holds a Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Tennessee and an M.P.H. in environmental health sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
