Lori Anderson

About

Lori Anderson is an Associate Professor of Practice at Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business, located at 2109 Pamplin, 880 West Campus Drive, Blacksburg, VA. She has a dual career of over twenty years in organizational leadership and over fifteen years in university teaching, curriculum design, and leadership. Lori has taught at four universities across two countries, the U.S. and the U.K., at undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels, in face-to-face, online, and blended learning environments. Prior to joining Virginia Tech, she served as an Associate Professor at the University of Manchester in the U.K. Lori's academic areas include Leadership, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Organizational Theory and Behavior, Business Ethics, Business Privatization and Regulation, Healthcare Leadership, Diversity, Equality, Inclusion, and Belonging, and International Business. She holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech (2008), an M.Ed. from The Citadel (1984), and a B.A. from Wingate University (1981). Lori is also a novelist, authoring 'Giggleswick Your Next Station Stop,' a novel exploring themes of xenophobia, structural privilege, and discrimination through the perspective of an immigrant. Her research focuses on issues at the intersection of public and private governance, emphasizing the institutional and managerial implications of policy and regulation for leading organizations.
