Jennifer Hoffman

Jennifer Hoffman is an Associate Professor in the College of Education at the University of Washington, with a focus on Educational Foundations, Leadership & Policy. Her research agenda specializes in the analysis of issues in intercollegiate athletics, including traditional college sports and the emergence of college esports. She employs qualitative, conceptual, and policy analysis methods, integrating critical, poststructural, and feminist perspectives to explore the intersection of intercollegiate athletics and higher education. Her work has been recognized by the Association for the Study of Higher Education, where she received the ASHE 2021 Special Merit Award, and she serves as the editor of the Center’s Research From The Front Porch research briefs. Hoffman has contributed to understanding the dynamics of college sports, equity in women’s sports, and the financial and social aspects of esports, and she has authored books and articles on these topics.

  We assessed safety and potential efficacy of a chamomile gel compared with urea cream to prevent acute radiation dermatitis in head and neck cancer patients.
