Dwight Bowman

About

Dwight Bowman, PhD, is a Professor of Parasitology in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been associated with the department since 1987, initially serving as an assistant professor. Dr. Bowman received his MS degree in Parasitology from Tulane University in 1976 and his PhD in Parasitology from Tulane University in 1983. His research focuses on soil transmitted parasites, parasites of wildlife, visceral larva migrans, host response to soil transmitted pathogens, and the detection of soil transmitted parasites. Throughout his career, he has obtained continuous funding from both corporate and federal sources to study animal parasitology.
