Anna Y.Q. Ho

About

Anna Y.Q. Ho is a Richards Family Assistant Professor in the Department of Astronomy at Cornell University. Her research utilizes telescopes located worldwide and in space to study the lives and deaths of stars, as well as the physics of energetic cosmic events. She employs wide-field surveys and targeted observations across the electromagnetic spectrum, from gamma-ray to radio wavelengths, to understand the physical processes that govern the observed emission. She is an active member of several international collaborations and serves as co-chair of the gamma-ray bursts working group for the ULTRASAT mission. Her work has contributed to breakthroughs in astronomy, including the study of stellar flares and the signs of life in stellar remnants.
