Timothy Tansey

About

Timothy Tansey is a Professor in the Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education department at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He earned his PhD in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2001, his MS in Rehabilitation from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana in 1998, and his BS in Psychology from the same institution in 1994. His research focuses on rehabilitation psychology, vocational rehabilitation, and the psychosocial aspects of disability, with a particular interest in employment outcomes, quality of life, and the experiences of individuals with disabilities, including veterans and minority groups. Tansey has contributed to the field through numerous publications and presentations, and has been recognized with awards such as the Researcher of the Year by the National Council on Rehabilitation Education and multiple research paper awards from the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association.
