Paul Armstrong-Taylor is a Professor of International Economics at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, based at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center. Before joining Nanjing in September 2010, he served as a Visiting Professor of Economics and Finance at the Antai School of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiaotong University. His professional background includes work as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in London, an economic consultant for London Economics, and a management consultant for Monitor Group in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Armstrong-Taylor holds a BA and MPhil in Economics from Cambridge University and a PhD in Economics from Harvard University. His research and teaching interests encompass applied game theory, business strategy, and finance. His PhD thesis, titled 'Strategic Credibility,' examined how the propensity of politicians to falsely deny involvement in scandals varies with their popularity.
