Patrick Sheehan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Boston University. His research agenda focuses on transformations to professional work in contemporary capitalism, examining how workers and organizations respond to technological change, shifting cultural expectations, and the heightened uncertainties that characterize economic life today. His work has been published in reputable journals such as the American Journal of Sociology, the Annual Review of Sociology, Work & Occupations, and Contexts. He has received awards from the American Sociological Association sections on Culture, Organizations, Occupations, and Work, and Economic Sociology.
