Min M Addy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. His research interests include food safety, food processing, renewable energy, wastewater treatment, waste utilization and conversion, and biofuel production. He has contributed to the development of processes for biodiesel conversion from scum, pilot-scale algal biomass production using swine manure for fuel and wastewater treatment, and the techno-economic analysis of wastewater-based algal biofuel production. Addy holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Florida, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics from Anhui Agricultural University. His teaching includes courses on fundamentals of food engineering, renewable energy technologies, and capstone design. His work integrates engineering principles with biological systems to address challenges in food safety, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.
