Katie Wysocki is the Director and Career Coach of the Career Enrichment Network at Penn State's College of the Liberal Arts. She provides strategic leadership to advance career preparation, graduate and professional education, global experiences, and professional development for students. In her role, she serves as a career coach available to meet with all Liberal Arts majors to discuss a variety of professional and career topics, including internship and job searches, resume and cover letter reviews, interviewing preparation, and career exploration. She holds a Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lycoming College.

  W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono problematykę związaną z wykorzystaniem wielowymiarowego systemu maskowania infrastruktury podziemnej w działaniach zbrojnych prowadzonych w środowisku zurbanizowanym na przykładzie Strefy Gazy. Zgodnie z przyjętym założeniem badawczym zaprezentowano istotę wojny podziemnej oraz ogólną charakterystykę infrastruktury tunelowej jako narzędzia walki asymetrycznej. W publikacji dokonano identyfikacji i analizy rozwiązań techniczno-inżynieryjnych, taktyczno-operacyjnych oraz informacyjno-organizacyjnych, które składały się na spójny system maskowania stosowany przez Hamas. Zasadnicze rozważania podjęte w artykule dotyczą wpływu tego systemu na przebieg działań zbrojnych, skuteczność rozpoznania wielosensorowego przeciwnika oraz tempo i koszty prowadzonych operacji wojskowych. Ponadto omówiono konsekwencje humanitarne i prawne wynikające z integracji infrastruktury podziemnej z przestrzenią cywilną, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ograniczeń wynikających z międzynarodowego prawa humanitarnego konfliktów zbrojnych. W zakończeniu artykułu przedstawiono najważniejsze wnioski, stanowiące uogólnienie wyników badań oraz wskazujące na znaczenie wojny podziemnej i maskowania dla przyszłych działań wojskowych w środowisku zurbanizowanym.

  This chapter presents issues related to the impact of reflexive control on the escalation of the migration crisis at the Belarus-EU border. The essential contents include the concept of reflexive control t and its theoretical aspects in terms of methods and ways of implementation of the management in question. Inquiries are presented to clarify the essence of applied disinformation as a form of Maskirovka, which had a key impact on the escalation of the migration crisis both on the Polish society, which was the subject of the hybrid operation and on the international community. The considerations undertaken in the chapter also address the practical solutions applied by Russia and Belarus using advanced methods and modes of reflexive control.

• Genus zero global surfaces of section for Reeb flows and a result of Birkhoff

  We exhibit sufficient conditions for a finite collection of periodic orbits of a Reeb flow on a closed 3 -manifold to bound a positive global surface of section with genus zero. These conditions turn out to be C^\infty -generically necessary. Moreover, they involve linking assumptions on periodic orbits with Conley–Zehnder index ranging in a finite set determined by the ambient contact geometry. As an application, we re-prove and generalize a classical result of Birkhoff on the existence of annulus-like global surfaces of section for geodesic flows on positively curved 2 -spheres.

  The development of military technique and technology forces necessary changes in military reconnaissance using advanced methods of contemporary battlefield imaging. This paper addresses the topic of imagery intelligence as an essential source for gaining information about the deployment and quantity of means and forces of a potential enemy. Currently, armies of the world are equipped with modern imagery intelligence systems that make it possible to collect, process and analyse the collected data on enemy’s troops and the environment in which the enemy operates. The purpose of the study is to present the proper role of camouflage undertakings that make it possible to counteract imagery, optoelectronic and radar intelligence. The increasing capabilities in this problem area mean that in the near future intelligence tasks will be carried out not only by ground, space or naval systems, but primarily by reconnaissance aircraft and unmanned aerial systems. In accordance with the problem indicated in the topic, the paper brings closer the possibilities of counteracting imagery intelligence from the theoretical and practical perspective. In addition, it presents the latest camouflage solutions employed both in the Polish Armed Forces and other selected armies. At the end of the paper, the authors formulate the most important conclusions that constitute a generalisation of the results of studies presented in different parts of the publication.
