Jonathan M. Baker is an assistant professor in the Chandra Family Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a Fellow of the Advanced Micro Devices Chair in Computer Engineering. His research focus is quantum computer architecture, with an emphasis on the practical execution of quantum error correction. His interests span the entire quantum computing stack, including compilation, synthesis, multi-radix architectures, and error mitigation. Prior to joining the University of Texas, he served as a research scientist at the Duke Quantum Center and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
