Jennifer Stone, PhD, is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington. She received her graduate degree in anatomy and neurobiology from Boston University School of Medicine in 1993 and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Washington. Dr. Stone has held positions as assistant research professor, associate research professor, and research professor at the university, and since 2016 has served as the director of research for the department. Her research focuses on areas related to speech and hearing sciences, with particular emphasis on auditory perception, neurodevelopmental diversity, and speech physiology and motor control. Her work contributes to understanding the neural and anatomical bases of communication disorders, and she is actively involved in research labs and projects that explore language development, auditory processing, and motor speech disorders.
