Dr. James Adams, CFA, has been an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Risk Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering since 2019, where he teaches Financial Risk Management. He brings over 25 years of industry experience leading Derivatives, Rates, Foreign Exchange, and Investor Services businesses at J.P. Morgan across various sectors and regions. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to recruiting, training, and mentoring talent, as well as conducting client presentations, conferences, and seminars on corporate finance and risk management. Dr. Adams is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder for over twenty years and has co-authored several CFA Institute Fixed Income curriculum readings used by candidates worldwide. He currently serves as a Senior Director of Learning Content and Experience at CFA Institute and is a member of the Board of Sokoman Minerals Corporation (SIC.V) in Canada.
