Eunsung Kan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Texas A&M University. His educational background includes a B.S. in Biological Engineering from Inha University in Korea, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology in Korea, and a Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Riverside. His research focuses on the production of biofuels, bioproducts, and biomaterials from dairy and agricultural wastes, as well as the removal of contaminants such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and antibiotics from dairy and agricultural wastewater. He also works on the reuse of wastewater for agricultural irrigation and energy production, and the capture and conversion of greenhouse gases to valuable products. Kan has received notable awards including the U.S. National Research Council Research Associateship Award and the Distinguished Chancellor Fellowship at UC Riverside.
