Professor Eric Triplett serves as Professor and Chair in the Department of Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida. The overall goal of the Triplett lab is to determine the drivers of microbial diversity in a wide range of environments.   Here, salivary microbiota and major histocompatibility complex (MHC) human leukocyte antigen (HLA) alleles were compared between 47 (12.6%) young adults with recent suicidal ideation (SI) and 325 (87.4%) controls without recent SI.
