  • Deterministic Generation of Qudit Photonic Graph States from Quantum Emitters

    PRX Quantum · 2024-05-29 · 16 citations

    articleOpen access

We propose and analyze deterministic protocols to generate qudit photonic graph states from quantum emitters. We show that our approach can be applied to generate any qudit graph state and we exemplify it by constructing protocols to generate one- and two-dimensional qudit cluster states, absolutely maximally entangled states, and logical states of quantum error-correcting codes. Some of these protocols make use of time-delayed feedback, while others do not. The only additional resource requirem…

  • Dynamically corrected gates in silicon singlet-triplet spin qubits

    Physical Review Applied · 2024-12-10 · 8 citations

    articleOpen access

Quantum computers are sensitive to sources of noise in their surroundings. In this work the authors design, implement, and demonstrate a technique that can overcome noise from the nuclei of the atoms hosting a semiconductor spin qubit. The team uses the geometrical properties of qubits to design noise-canceling control sequences and experimentally demonstrate high-fidelity quantum operations.

  • Outcomes from a workshop on a national center for quantum education

    EPJ Quantum Technology · 2025-03-31 · 6 citations

    articleOpen access1st authorCorresponding

In response to numerous programs seeking to advance quantum education and workforce development in the United States, experts from academia, industry, government, and professional societies convened for a National Science Foundation-sponsored workshop in February 2024 to explore the benefits and challenges of establishing a national center for quantum education. Broadly, such a center would foster collaboration and build the infrastructure required to develop a diverse and quantum-ready workforc…

  • Minimal state-preparation times for silicon spin qubits

    npj Quantum Information · 2025-07-05 · 3 citations

    articleOpen access

Abstract Efficient preparation of quantum states on noisy intermediate-scale quantum processors remains a significant challenge to achieve quantum advantage. While gate-based methods have been the traditional approach, pulse-based algorithms offer promising alternatives with finer control and potentially reduced overheads. Here, we leverage the concept of minimum evolution time (MET) as a fundamental metric for evaluating and benchmarking quantum-state-preparation efficiency. Using numerical mod…
