Dorit Hanein is a Professor of Bioengineering and Chemistry and Biochemistry at UC Santa Barbara. Her research focuses on exploring the complexities of macromolecular machines that drive biological processes, including immune responses, sensory perceptions, healing mechanisms, and the processes of maturation and aging.
