Brad Wilcox is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Virginia, where he holds the titles of Melville Foundation Jefferson Scholars Foundation University Professor and Director of the National Marriage Project. He is also a Future of Freedom Fellow at the Institute for Family Studies and a nonresident senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. Wilcox's research focuses on marriage, fatherhood, and the impact of strong and stable families on men, women, and children. He is the author of the upcoming book 'Get Married: Why Americans Should Defy the Elites, Forge Strong Families and Save Civilization' (Harper Collins, 2024). Wilcox has authored and coauthored six books and has published in both scientific journals and popular outlets, including The American Sociological Review, The Journal of Marriage and Family, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and National Review. His work often explores themes related to marriage, religion, gender, and family life, and he consults regularly with companies on fertility and marriage trends in the United States. Wilcox earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University, was a Jefferson Scholar as an undergraduate at the University of Virginia, and held research fellowships at Princeton, Yale, and the Brookings Institution.
